Abigail Van Hosen
Abigail’s passion for hair started in her mother’s California salon. As far back as she can remember, Abigail watched her mother practice the art of hair for most of her childhood. She began coloring her mother’s hair at 9 years old, as soon as she was tall enough to reach.
While working on her associate degree in music, Abigail began coloring and cutting her friends and family’s hair. After completing her degree, Abigail decided to make a career out of her side hustle, inspiring her to begin beauty school in California in 2016. Within 10 months, she completed all requirements and became a licensed cosmetologist.
Abigail hit the ground running after she became licensed in 2017, working in a full service salon. She continued her education with in depth color, cutting, and treatment classes. In her 6 years of service at Augury, she quickly built up a clientele by offering a wide variety of services. She is constantly seeking to improve via education and is always up for a challenge. Growing up in a private school, Abigail was very limited with what was and was not allowed, as far as hair color. This restriction led to her favorite passion in hair, fantasy colors. Every shade is welcome on her hair and yours.
In 2023, Abigail and her husband made the move to Texas from California in order to make a home for themselves. Abigail began her search for a new salon to call home and is excited to begin building new bonds with the guests and teammates here, at LUX. She is extremely passionate about helping every guest feel their best at every appointment.
In her spare time Abigail enjoys playing with her 3 dogs, Nova, Chai, and Mushu. She also enjoys writing and performing music, and will never say no to Karaoke. She and her husband, Justin, enjoy trying restaurants in their new home state and exploring different parks and walking trails.
